Flying the Pride flag in tribute to Orlando victims
Telford & Wrekin Council is flying the Pride flag at half mast at Addenbrooke House in tribute to those who lost their lives in the Orlando shooting.
Councillor Richard Overton, Telford & Wrekin Council’s deputy leader, said: “What happened in Orlando was utterly horrifying and an attack on values of peace, love and understanding.
“Telford & Wrekin Council is very proud to fly the Pride flag at its
offices at Addenbrooke House in tribute to those who lost their lives. The
Pride flag symbolises the very values that were attacked. It is also a message
of support to the LGBT community locally in Telford and Wrekin. Hate and
intolerance has no place anywhere, including here.”
