Foamtastic UV foam party for half term
Following on from the success of the first UV foam party of the year, this grand event is returning to Telford Ice Rink this half term, and it promises to be an amazing night for everyone that comes along.
Taking place on Friday 3 June from 5.15 - 9.30pm, with the cannon firing at 7pm, this foamy fun is returning to provide an opportunity to wave those glow sticks high and party in the atmosphere of a nightclub.
With a DJ blasting out a plethora of the latest chart hits the challenge will be finding that dance rhythm while skating around the ice pad and getting covered in foam by Shropshire’s largest foam cannon!
This exciting evening is suitable for both adults and juniors and family tickets are available. For those who aren’t skaters, spectator seats can also be purchased to observe, dance and delight in the foaming of family and friends on the ice.
For the first time, and due to popular demand, a number of individual tickets are available to purchase in advance from 20 May 2016, so be quick and don’t miss out on this one of a kind, unforgettable night.
Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “The last UV foam party that was held at Telford Ice Rink was hugely popular and received excellent feedback from those who attended asking for more of these events.
“Half term is packed full of activities for young people to take part in, and the UV foam party will be a fitting finish to what could end up being an exhausting but exhilarating week.”
In addition to the UV foam party, Telford Ice Rink is also running a half term Skateathon giving up to five hours of public skating a day between 10.30am-3.30pm daily from Monday 30 May to Friday 3 June.
Resident DJ Paul Shuttleworth will be there from 12-3pm from Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 June playing the perfect soundtrack to glide around to.
Intensive skating course will also be available every morning of the half term for those seeking to improve skating skills and perhaps tackle some more challenging moves!
