Dreaming of summer just got a lot easier
A brand new concert that pays homage to a bygone era celebrating iconic music from the 50s and 60s is heading to Oakengates Theatre @ The Place in June.

‘Summer Dreaming’ is a new production that kicks off its UK tour this summer, and when the show takes to the stage in Telford it will feature local performers from the Carmichael School of Dance & Theatre Arts.
Relive the good old days with the Summer Dreaming gang as they take you back to a time of jiving, soda shops and high school hops. It’s a fully choreographed, highly interactive roller coaster of 50s and 60s fun and frolics.
Summer Dreaming features the smash hits ‘Run Around Sue’, ‘Fever’, ‘Shout’, ‘Johnny B Goode’, ‘Stand By Me’, ‘Whatever Will Be Will Be (Que Sera Sera)’, ‘Tequila’, ‘Twist Again’, ‘The Locomotion’ and many more.
So leave any troubles at the door, find that inner Teddy Boy or Girl, and sing and dance along to all those amazing hits.
And why not go along in fancy dress; with two decades of fashion to choose from, it will be hard to decide just which style to go for!
Tickets for Summer Dreaming on Friday 24 June at 7.30pm cost £20 each (concessions £18) and can be booked online at www.theplacetelford.com by calling the box office on 01952 382382, or in person at the theatre or Southwater One in Telford Town Centre.
