BEW Electrical opens new store in Telford
BEW Electrical Distributors LTD is the latest business to add its name to one of Telford and Wrekin’s roundabouts.

BEW Electrical Distributors LTD opened a new store at Hortonwood 10 earlier this month and has just signed a two year sponsorship agreement to advertise on the Garrison Roundabout.
The store had their official opening on 20 April, attended by Telford & Wrekin Mayor, Councillor Leon Murray, who cut the ribbon.
BEW Electrical Distributors LTD has 19 stores nationwide and carries a vast range and quantity of stock at every branch throughout the network. From the simplest cable clip to the most sophisticated structured cabling, from power plugs and power showers to low voltage lighting and high resolution CCTV.
Telford & Wrekin Council offer local businesses the chance to sponsor one, or more, of the roundabouts in the borough.
Thousands of people travel on the roads in Telford and Wrekin every day, from the 165,000 local residents to the 3.5 million tourists visiting the town's attractions and attending exhibitions and conferences every year.
Businesses benefit from having their name, logo and a brief message put on to signs that are then erected on to their chosen roundabout. The number of signs usually depends on the number of approach roads to the roundabout.
The business and Council team work together to ensure that the sign design really works for the business.
The roundabout may be close to the business’ premises or on a roundabout that has a large traffic volume circulating around it for maximum brand exposure. There are three price categories for roundabouts, depending on the location. The money generated from the sponsorship scheme helps to fund vital front line Council services.
Councillor Lee Carter, cabinet member for Council Finance and Service Delivery, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome BEW to the borough and to our roundabout sponsorship scheme.
“The roundabout sponsorship scheme offers great exposure for local businesses in the borough and I’d encourage any that are interested, to get in touch and find out more.”
In a survey of 1,000 local residents, 84 per cent of people recalled seeing a sponsorship sign on our roundabouts, and market research shows that 85 per cent of existing sponsors would recommend the opportunity to a colleague or business associate.
