Limekiln Bank update: temporary lights to be removed four days early

The traffic management system will revert back to normal roundabout operations from Tuesday morning, with lane restrictions in place similar to before the traffic signals were installed.

The council would still advise parents and carers of children attending Priorslee Academy and Holy Trinity Academy to allow additional time for their journeys or use alternatve routes on Monday as the lights will still be in place until the evening.

Redhill Primary School will be unaffected as children do not go back to school until Tuesday.

Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Communities, Regeneration and Transport, said: “We appreciate these temporary traffic lights have caused a lot of disruption to road users, local businesses and residents.

“However, we have worked very closely with our contractor McPhillips to complete the work ahead of schedule.

“We would like to thank everyone affected by the delays for their patience and co-operation while the temporary signals were in place.”
