Kids for £1 returns for half term
Telford & Wrekin Council – in partnership with RICOH UK Products Ltd – will again offer half term holiday activities for children and young people who have a Telford Loyalty Card for just £1 each.
While for those in the mood for love this Valentine’s Weekend, Telford Ice Rink is hosting a Special Valentine’s Disco with resident DJ, special effects, smoke and laser lighting.
The Council’s leisure facilities have a full programme of activities for next week (MON 15 – FRI 19 FEB).
There is a whole host of different activities, for all abilities, tastes and ages, from cheerleading, tobogganing and trampolining to gymnastics.
Families can enjoy an adrenaline packed session of Tubing at Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre or Pay and Play Table Tennis at Oakengates Leisure Centre.
Swimming Crash courses will be taking place at Newport Swimming Pool, Oakengates Leisure Centre and Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre.
Booking in advance is advised so that sessions can be planned according to numbers attending and to avoid any disappointment.
Councillor Liz Clare, cabinet member for leisure and culture services, said: “We’re pleased to be offering kids’ activities for £1 for another school holiday.
“The programme of activities means that everyone should be able to find something to suit them and take advantage of these fantastic offers.
“The Special Valentine’s Disco at Telford Ice Rink this weekend is set to be a fun packed evening for everyone there.”
