Limekiln Bank works: drop in session on Wednesday
Telford & Wrekin Council is holding a drop in session on Wednesday to talk to residents about forthcoming works aimed at reducing traffic congestion on a busy island.

The drop in session at Redhill Primary School between 5-7pm on Wednesday will showcase the plans for Limekiln Bank Roundabout and give the public the chance to ask project engineers questions.
The improvements at Limekiln Bank includes widening of the roundabout and improving the entry/exit arms to provide additional capacity.
The scheme will also see the installation of a signal controlled crossing for pedestrians across Telford Way and replacement of street lighting, traffic signs and bollards.
The work will take 20 weeks to complete and will start on Monday February 15.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Communities, Regeneration and Transport, said: “Limekiln Roundabout is an important gateway to the borough which connects the A5 with the A640 and provides access to Telford Town Centre and the motorway network via Junction 4.
“It is currently heavily congested at peak times so this work will resolve that as well as providing sufficient capacity to cater for future growth up to 2031.
“I would like to apologise in advance to residents for any disruption that is caused by the works and I would encourage anyone with concerns to attend Wednesday’s drop in at Redhill Primary.
“Limekiln Bank is the first of six roundabouts around the borough that have been earmarked for improvements in the coming months as part of our £17.4m Growth Point package.”
The majority of the funding (£13.9m) for these improvements is coming from the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership, with the remainder coming from contributions from private investors through new housing and employment developments.
