Council highly commended in Health Service Journal awards
Telford & Wrekin Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group have been highly commended in national award scheme run by the Health Service Journal.
Thecouncil was short-listed in two categories and received the highly commendedfor making connections for family carers in the borough.
Therewas a total of 1,603 entries to the awards, which celebrate local authoritypartnerships and healthcare’s best achievements.
CouncillorArnold England, Telford and Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Adult andSocial Care, said: “It is a real feather in the borough’s cap to be shortlistedfor two categories when there was so many entrants and I am delighted that wereceived a highly commended for one of them.
