Book of Condolence for victims of Paris attacks
At 11am this morning the Council will join the one minute’s silence taking place across Europe in memory of the victims of the Paris terror attacks.
The Council is flying flags at half-mast as a mark of respect.
Books of condolence will also be opened this morning at the Southwater One library building in Telford town centre and at the First Point at Wellington Civic & Leisure Centre for the public to sign.
Council leader Kuldip Sahota said: “Since the horrific events on Friday night, people have contacted me asking how they can show that they stand with the people of Paris and France at this very difficult time.
“Telford and Wrekin is a borough that has strong connections with France.
"This will allow anyone who wishes to to express their thoughts and support which we will then send to the French Government.”
