Are you registered to vote?

Residents in Telford and Wrekin are being urged to sign up for the new electoral register before Monday (16 NOV).

Are you registered to vote?

Over the last few months, each household in the borough will have received a household annual enquiry form listing all those who are registered to vote at the address.

This form must be updated and returned to the Council so that anyone not already individually registered to vote can be given details on how to do so.

It's important to make sure that the register is up-to-date and return the annual electoral register update form to ensure that you don’t lose the chance to have your say in elections.

Under the new individual electoral registration system, as well completing the household form, anyone at an address who wasn’t confirmed on the new system and hasn’t registered to vote individually since will be sent a further registration form to complete.

Sixteen and 17-year olds can also register, so that they are able to vote as soon as they turn 18.

It’s easiest to do this online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote but you must still fill out the household enquiry form first and send it back so that everyone in the house has the opportunity to register to vote.
