A beast of a panto!
This year’s panto production of Beauty and the Beast promises to be a beautiful beast of a performance with new faces joining familiar faces who will be making popular returns to the stage.
Championship ice dancer, Matt Evers, from ITV’s Dancing on Ice, stars as the village lothario Gerald Le Huntsman, who is on a mission to woo our heroine Belle and beat the Beast!
Phil Butler, who proved popular in last year’s panto Aladdin, will be back in Telford as Hugo Le Gaff and will be joined for another year by Ian Billings will also make a popular return to the Oakengates Theatre stage as Professor René Crackpot, as well as performing directing duties off stage too.
The UK’s former Eurovision Song Contest singer Nicki French will take the role of Witch Guillotine. Danny Mills will entertain audiences of all ages as Madame Cherie Trifle, with Gary Tushaw, who will deliver a West End performance as the Beast and Trixie Waggot will light up the stage as Belle.
Audiences will be able to see this stella cast on stage in Beauty and Beast from 9 December 2014 to 5 January 2015. Tickets flew faster than Aladdin’s magical carpet last year, so be quick to avoid disappointment!
In addition to the star-studded line-up, all the other fabulous pantomime ingredients audiences have come to expect will be in abundance, from the fairytale set and colourful costumes, to creative choreography, live music, and lots and lots of laughter. It promises be a beast of a pantomime!
