Famous Winter Ballet comes to Telford
Telford audiences have the opportunity to catch one of Tchaikovsky’s best-loved classical ballets, The Nutcracker, when the highly acclaimed Vienna Festival Ballet company come to Telford.
The enchanting tale of The Nutcracker centres around Clara and her nutcracker doll, which magically transforms into a princely soldier. Their adventures see the Prince and Clara combat the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy for a wonderful trip to a kingdom made entirely of sweets.
The Vienna Festival Ballet, which was founded by the celebrated Austrian dancer Peter Mallek in 1980, regularly delights audiences across Europe with around 200 dazzling productions each year. Its repertoire of full length traditional ballets includes classics such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Giselle and Swan Lake.
Tickets to see The Nutcracker on Friday 24 October are £19.50, £17.50 (concessions) and £12 for under 14s. Tickets are available on The Place website or by calling the ticket office on 01952 382382 or in person at the theatre and Southwater One. The show starts at 7pm.
