Meet the Authors at Southwater

Avid book fans and aspiring writers are invited down to Southwater library in Telford Town Centre at the weekend where they will have the chance to meet four authors from the local area.

The ‘Meet the Authors’ event will see new and established authors Jolene Modd, Tom West, Mathew Bishop and Gill Hall (who writes as Julz Gilly) visit the library to talk to the public on Saturday 14 March, between 12noon and 3pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet, chat and ask questions to the authors themselves about their writing journeys and about their published books.

They will also have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of books which include Cindy and Patch, The Journey, Stepfather’s Manipulation and The Missing Book.

Councillor Hilda Rhodes, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Libraries, said: “We are very excited to welcome Jolene, Tom, Mathew and Gill to our Southwater library on Saturday.

“Not only is this event a great opportunity for people to meet and talk to authors from the local area, but it will also allow the writers to see our new library services here at Southwater.

“We hope they will agree that the investment in our new modern library facilities will shape the way that the communities in Telford learn and develop their reading and literacy skills in this digital age.”
