Opening of the Partnership for Jobs fair
Telford & Wrekin Council is hosting its second Partnership for Jobs fair this week at The International Centre on Wednesday 18 March.

The event will be officially opened at 11am by Graham Wynn, chairman of the Marches LEP.
Graham Wynn will be joined by Council leader Kuldip Sahota and Councillor Shaun Davies, cabinet member for employment and skills.
The first jobs fair was held a year ago and attracted about 4,000 job seekers.
The Council has committed to reducing high youth unemployment levels in the borough and has invested £1.3m in its two year programme.
Last year the Council launched the Job Box, which pulls together a range of education, training and employment support.
As a result of the measures taken by the Council, youth unemployment in Telford and Wrekin is decreasing at a greater rate than the regional and national rates with 1,000 unemployed 16–24 year olds finding work in the last year.
The event will highlight opportunities and support services for local people looking for employment and apprenticeships, as well as assisting local employers who are looking to recruit.
