Major A442 spring clean planned
Telford & Wrekin Council is carrying out a major spring clean of the A442 Eastern Primary to improve the highway gateways to the town off this main strategic route.
Work will get under way on April 20 and will involve a number of temporary daytime lane closures.
The work will include grass cutting of verges, slipways and islands and will also include the central reservation between Brockton Roundabout and the Brockton Loop.
The council will also carry out a litter pick of all the grass and woodland areas and road sweeping of the inside lane.
Dave Hanley, Service Delivery Manager for Highways & Neighbourhood Services, said: "We are carrying out this work in response to requests from businesses, Parishes and residents of the borough.
"It is all part of ensuring Telford is a destination of choice for being a great place to live, work and visit.
"Our aim is to maintain a clean and tidy environment along our key north to south trunk road and helps to encourage repeat business and leisure tourism.
"In addition, and in response to feedback from residents, we will also be carrying out additional grass cuts through the main part of the growing season on all amenity areas across the borough."
