Drop in session for residents on Castle Farm Way works
Telford & Wrekin Council is holding a drop in session for residents in the Priorslee area to find out more about the emergency works that are being done on Castle Farm Way.
The session will take place between 2-6pm tomorrow (Thurs) at the Lakeside Garden Centre in Priorslee.
The council has had to undertake a major piece of work in Castle Farm Way after planned resurfacing work revealed significant carriageway failure below the surface of the road.
This has resulted in the southbound carriageway being closed between Limekiln Bank and Castle Farm Interchange for six weeks and 24 hour traffic management being introduced.
Angie Astley, Telford & Wrekin Council’s assistant director of Neighbourhood and Customer Services, said: "We are aware there is concerns from local residents and I would like to apologise for the inconvenience that this additional work is causing.
"We are holding the drop in session to ensure that residents can ask questions and are kept informed about what we are doing and why.
"Doing this work does mean that we won’t have to return to carry out further major maintenance work on Castle Farm Way for a long period of time."
Further information on the resulting road closure and traffic management is available at www.telford.gov.uk/CFWay
