Live music confirmed at this year’s T-Party
T-Party is back for its third year on Saturday 18 July and this time there’s more live music, family entertainment and sports and leisure activities than ever before!
New to this year’s event is the ‘AfTer-Party’ which starts at 6pm and includes live music from local bands including Young Braves, The Rooz, Laburnum, Ryan Evans and Savannah, at the QEII Fields In Trust Town Park Arena.
The fun will kick off at 12pm where there will be a whole range of activities for all of the family spread out across Southwater and Telford Town Park until 6pm.
The day is sports themed, building up to the arrival of the Webb Ellis Rugby World Cup Trophy later in the day, when Telford becomes the first venue in the West Midlands to host the tour.
Activities during the day include bubble football, penalty shoot-out competitions, rounders, hockey, tennis skills, bungee trampolines and a climbing wall plus watch the bike stunt show.
The majority of activities are free to join in with only a handful requiring a small fee.
T-Party favourites such as storytelling, poetry and food and craft markets will also be set-up for people to explore throughout the day. ful of chargeable activities.
From 1pm, spectators can support local businesses as they get set to compete for the title of Telford and Wrekin, Festival of Rugby Champions 2015!
Between 6pm and 9pm, Rugby fans who want to get up close and personal with the Webb Ellis World Cup can make their way over to Telford Town Park Arena where they can see the cup for themselves.
The international Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour has been showcased to audiences around the world as part of the build-up to Rugby World Cup 2015, which is hosted by England.
Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “T-Party has something to offer all of the family and as we get set to welcome the arrival of the Webb Ellis Trophy during the evening, we have extended the event to include more live music and entertainment to ensure it’s another great night at Telford Town Park Arena.
