Police incident in Wellington
This morning's police incident in the centre of Wellington is now over.
Update 12:10
The police are now re-opening roads around the police station and the evacuation cordon has been lifted.
We are closing the rest centre and taking any evacuated residents back to their homes.
We thank the Police, our staff, partners for their response to the situtaion and residents for their calmness and patience this morning.
