There’s NO LIMITS for children this summer

Are the children complaining about being bored and having nothing to do this summer holidays? Then why not pack them off to the NO LIMITS Town Park Adventure Day?

There’s NO LIMITS for children this summer

This summer Telford & Wrekin Council’s Community Sport and Physical Activity Team are holding three adventure days ideally suited for children between the ages of 8 and 14 where they will take part in a number of physically challenging and fun activities throughout the day.

After dropping the children off at the Telford Town Park Visitor Centre in the morning the day starts with adventure golf at 9am.  This is followed by the high ropes adventure course and climbing wall.  All this before lunchtime!

Following a much needed packed lunch, that each child should bring with them on the day, it’s off to the ice rink for an afternoon of skating fun.

By 4pm everyone is sure to be suitably worn out and ready to be collected for a well earned rest.

What better way to burn off some energy, and enjoy some of the exciting activities that Telford has to offer.

The first NO LIMITS day will be taking place this Friday (7 AUG), and there are just a couple of places remaining.  Alternatively, children can also take part on Friday 21 August or Friday 4 September.

The cost for the whole day is just £20 for TLC holders (£25 non-TLC), which includes all activities.  Three Telford & Wrekin staff will be leading the day, with all being fully qualified to deliver children’s activities, as well as being suitably DBS checked.

All the children need to bring along is a packed lunch and suitable clothing and shoes.

Councillor Liz Clare, Cabinet Member for Leisure Services and Culture, said: “This is a great opportunity for children to take part in a number of fun activities over the course of a day with other likeminded people of a similar age.

“The school holidays are particularly long this year and it can be a struggle to think of things to keep the kids occupied.  The NO LIMITS adventure days could be one of the answers.

“In addition, the days can provide a great feeling of freedom for young people who are not accompanied by parents on the day, but equally parents can feel safe in the knowledge that their children are being cared for by qualified and experienced staff.”

There is a limit of 20 children per day and places should be booked in advance.  There are a few spaces remaining for this Friday (7 AUG), alternatively places can be booked for the 21 August or 4 September.

Places can be booked at www.telfordandwrekinleisure or alternatively call Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre on 01952 382720 or pop in.
