Appeal for contractors for housing investment programme
Telford & Wrekin Council is always looking for ways in which to support local trade and keep the business pound in the borough – and its new housing investment programme is no exception.
The council has set up a wholly owned company called Nuplace to build 400 new homes for private rent.
Construction firm Lovell is the contractor working with Nuplace on the first phase of the programme – which will see 101 new homes built at Woodland Walk, Madeley, and 31 at Pool View, Randlay.
Lovell is currently looking to appoint local building contractors and construction specialists to help them deliver the project.
Businesses interested in becoming a supplier or contractor to Lovell can visit www.telford.gov.uk/tenders and download a supplier registration document to be sent directly to Lovells.
Councillor Richard Overton, Telford & Wrekin Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for Housing, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to help Lovell deliver this major housing scheme for Nuplace and I hope businesses across the borough will take up the opportunity.
