Public consultation on planning proposals in Muxton

Landowners, including Telford & Wrekin Council, will host a public exhibition later this month on plans for a proposed residential development in Muxton.

Public consultation on planning proposals in Muxton

The consortium is keen to hear the views of local people on a proposed outline planning application for development on land located north and south of A518 (New Trench Road).

The public exhibition will provide further details of the proposed development and is an opportunity for people to ask any questions of the Project Team and to provide feedback.

The scheme would provide a mix of two, three, four and five bed dwellings, the provision for a new primary school (with up to 420 places), as well as substantial areas of open space and recreation facilities.

The public exhibition forms a part of the consultation process which is being undertaken prior to an outline planning application which is expected to be submitted in October 2015.

Government funding via The Marches LEP Growth Deal – Central Government Local Growth Fund – will help to finance infrastructure to the site and access from A518.

James Dunn, Service Delivery Manager, Regeneration and Investment said “The proposal is for a sustainable mixed use development fully supported by the required infrastructure for which funding has been secured.

“We hope local people will come to the event and provide their views.”

The public exhibition will be held on Thursday 24 September, 1.30–8pm at Muxton Community Centre, St John’s Church, Saltwells Drive, Muxton TF2 8RJ.
